Final Fantasy Agito XIII Preview

Every gamer has played at least one Final Fantasy game. During the years there have been many Final Fantasy games released for almost all gaming platforms on the market. There’s no need to mention that Final Fantasy has huge audience and that Final Fantasy is one of the most popular RPG series on the market. So why is Final Fantasy so popular? Well, first Final Fantasy was released in 1987 and it has given something different to the players. Unlike other RPG’s on the market that were focusing on the storyline and epic combat between good and evil Final Fantasy was focusing on something different, closer to the fans. The main reason why Final Fantasy is so popular is because each Final Fantasy game focuses on the main characters and his personal story. So characters in Final Fantasy aren’t just models that you move around the map, they are something different, something human with their own feelings. Developers are really working hard to connect you with each character so you’ll get the feeling that you’re inside your own fantasy. This is the main reason why is Final Fantasy so popular and why it has such a huge audience. Some people don’t like it because of that emotional story while other are claiming that it’s the best thing that can happen in a videogame. So if you’re a fan of Final Fantasy franchise you’ll be happy to hear that there will be latest sequel exclusively for the PlayStation Portable.

Final Fantasy Agito XIII takes place in the same world as Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII, and all three games make a single compilation that is called Fabula Nova Crystallis: Final Fantasy XIII. As for the latest game, Final Fantasy Agito XIII, story is about militaristic nation, called Milites, that rises and starts occupying other nations throughout the world in order to achieve world domination. On the other side, only students of Peristerium School of Magic can stop this militaristic nation and only they can return peace to the world.

As for the gameplay, it should be a bit different from previous games. There will be twelve students that you can lead in this game and you’ll be able to switch them and add that to your team before any battle. Interesting thing is that combat in this game won’t be turned based like in previous games, instead it will be more action based and it should be similar to Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core or maybe even Kingdom Hearts. This means that we’ll be casting spells through certain menu while combat will be real-time. This looks great since I never liked standard turn-based combat from previous Final Fantasy games. Speaking of spells, since all characters are magic school students they will be able to cast all sorts of spells. For example you’ll be able to summon certain creatures to fight by your side, but you’ll be able to disappear from the combat and take full control of your summoned creature. That way you can access all spells and abilities that your summoned creature has. One thing looks weird to me when it comes to spells and that are cards that characters are using. Trailer for Final Fantasy Agito XIII shows that characters are using cards for certain spells and possibly for summoning. In my opinion that looks just like Yu-Gi-Oh and developers could have used something better. Another great feature will be multiplayer co-op that you can enjoy with your friends. We don’t know if you’ll be able to play the main campaign in co-op or if there will be any other modes but we’re looking forward to it.

Final Fantasy Agito XIII will have a lot to offer to fans of the series, but the biggest change in my opinion is the improved combat system that will attract more players. Anyway, we’re looking forward to the official release.
